Everything looks so green, which IIRC, is kind of "unusual"?

Nice report - thanks for sharing.

A question of curiosity: Are these "still photos" just "screen shots" from a GoPro (or similar), or are they from a still camera? And what software do you use to compile the photos into a video?

April, and sometimes early May is what I was told In 2010 that things are greenest and best for riding if there isn't a monsoon happening. My trip out there started mid-May.
