Well, we have a new FJR owner in my family. My oldest son Jordan, who some of you may have met or rode with at the Red Lodge Rendezvous in 2016, decided he wanted to add a more comfortable bike to his garage. He currently rides a Ninja 1000 which he's ridden to all the lower 48 states. Since he's partial to Kawasaki, he's been keeping his eyes open for a clean used Concours despite my attempts at steering him right.
A couple days ago he asked my what I thought of an 07 FJR AE for sale for $4800.00 on Craigslist with only 10,000 miles. I said it looked good but mentioned that I seen a 2014 FJR1300A with 11,000 miles that had just showed up for sale locally decked out with $1150.00 heated Sargent seats, Canyon cages, Highway pegs, three windshields, Helibar risers, and a SW Motech tank bag for $9600.00. He went and took a look at it last night and we picked it up today. August Father son big trip planning is underway!
Lucky kid is handsome AF just like his dad. LOL Not sure who his dad is.

Have you done anything to improve your rider skills or knowledge lately?
My 2nd son does not have a rich father, so he schleps around in my old 2004 FJR. He bought from some insane guy for $1.00.
Seriously, I am real happy for you and your boy. Looking forward to hear about your adventures. I assume he is going to be a cop magnet like his dad, does he have a good lawyer on speed dial?
Now that he has the FJR he's going to have to join up on a forum to read about all the neat shit that happens when you own one.
I'd suggest this place however given the amount of degenerates, flakes, perverts, and just plain nuts here, I don't think you want your son associating with them.

Nice...but it's red
Of course its red, he's followed in his fathers misplaced foot steps. He's also a Fargo Fire Fighter, so he knows that all proper vehicles should be red.

Looking good!!! He does realize this is an old man's bike, right?
And you ride one...why?
Sadly, you are mostly right.
Abercrombie,
That is a really nice looking bike. I hope you and your son get as much enjoyment as my Pop and I have from riding together all these years. This is Good Stuff.

Never run out of real estate, traction and ideas all at the same time.
