Good morning ladies and gents. I wanted to take a minute and let you know where I stand on an issue before it becomes an issue here.

Right now, we are seeing an influx of new membership here – that’s great, more sticks to stir the pot. Everyone knows where this influx is coming from because most are members on both FJR communities (as well as the FJR Facebook group). FJRiders.com and FJRForum.com exist as two separate entities – the management philosophy of each has unique characteristics.

If you have a beef with how FJRiders.com is being run or managed or moderated, call me or email me or PM me. Well settle it and move on.

If you have a beef with the way another online community (such as FJRForum.com) is being run or moderated, call them, on their phone, on their board, on their email. Don’t post crap like, “FJRForum is a bunch of …..” here. Don’t call out or speak poorly of an admin or moderator by name from that or any other community. IF it's a discuss revolving around FJRiders, it's members or management, then have it here. Matt runs his house, I run this house and we do it how we see fit; I don’t talk trash about his house, he doesn't talk trash about my house.

I / we do very little moderation of posts here. We don’t play the time out game. We have a warning system, but it’s rarely needed. I want to keep it that way. That means everyone has to play nice. So, play nice, or go home. Pretty simple, right?

I don't know who out there doesn't play nice...but I'll look around and report back.

Thanks, Mark. So far, I've been lucky I guess, no one has made me need to figure out how all the fancy bells and whistles behind the scenes work...

I kind of expected to see a thread about the stuff going on over there--over here--but it's been quiet. Too quiet.

Nah, not really. And I'm not going to trash them. In fact, the lively discussion going on over there got me thinking a lot about my whole issue that led to my self-imposed suspension over there--my last post there was in early May. And about what good it's done me. Not much. So I just broke my silence with a post on Mark's thread about why I'm coming out of seclusion over there. Like you said, their house, their rules. I've got here for a more relaxed atmosphere, but the FJR Forum offers what it offers too, and it's all worth my time and attention.

I've been visiting both daily (but quietly, over there) since I joined here, and I'll keep doing that, but I'll be back to posting on both again.
