Horrible news, simply horrible. I've not met many people on these forums in person, but one person that's always stood out to me was Jason. He just seemed like a great person. It came across in his ability to go out of his way to help people and it showed by how much everyone thought of him. I didn't know him, but I feel a huge loss. I am also saddened knowing that so many of your knew him so well and you are all hurting right now as well.

Prayers out for all of his family and his friends.

Hearing the news about Jason is overwhelming. He was a great guy and fun to be around at our FJR events. He will be missed by many of us. Rest in peace Jason. God bless Sonya and Jason's family.

I had the pleasure of meeting JWilly and riding with him a few times, Jason was such a pleasure to be around and I could tell the very first time he was a great person for anyone to be around. Gonna miss following you thru the mountains Jason. Heart is really heavy today but I am gonna watch the GoPro movies I have of me following you up 209 in NC.

Our friend is gone. it's a lump in my throat I just can't swallow. I miss him already.

His heart was as big as he was, bigger dare I say. He took life as it came, but not for granted, mind you. No, he made sure those that knew him knew that he cared for them. But he had no time to dwell on trivial inconvenient matters, lest these things might damper his strong and unwavering spirit. I'm a man of science, but I felt his "vibe" just like all of you did. And it was pure and sincere, with no pride nor prejudice. With some men, you have to peel back a couple of layers to find them. With Jason, all you had to do was be near him. He walked the walk, happily and fearlessly.

What a great man, and a huge senseless loss. Wherever you are my brother, I hope the chicken strips are thin.

There are some things we don't get to decide, my friends. But this I tell each and every one of you today, so as not to waste another day: I care about all of you, and I consider each of you to be special. When you hurt, I hurt. If you need help, all you have to do is ask and I'm at your service. I hope we ride together soon, but until then, I wish all of you happiness and peace.

Having a hard time coming up with what to say. I just continue to go through pictures and videos. It doesn't feel like enough to fill that hole.

Known Jason for years though there are many on here that knew him longer and better than I. He was an awesome guy and I will miss him.

Live every day like it might be your last.

Ride safe friends.

Such horribly sad news. I was able to meet and speak with Jason at several FJR events. He was a very friendly guy, with intelligence, and great wit. Thoughts and prayers to Sonya and the entire family during this difficult time. We are diminished.

Met Jason in 06 in Boone? Many a night we were the last ones standing. I wish I had some recordings of B.S. that made my ribs hurt.
Second time we met he said " Mike a lot of people say you're an asshole, but I like you" He gave me a hug and a kiss. Kiss scared me, but that's Jason.

Last night was a somber group. I'd never seen the video of the Wytheville incident with Jason two up with Wayne. Julie played it for me last night. Is that a pickle or are you just glad to see me? The ES is set for three up. Julie was laughing thru most of the video.

Sad. Losing Jason is terrible. He was a charter member of the FJR group.

I haven’t really had a great 24 hours. But your post, and Julie’s videos, certainly helped. I don’t do a lot of emotion. But this shit has certainly worked its way under my armor.

It makes me appreciate, more fully, not just my friend, but the legion of friends and associates that I would never, under any circumstance, have encountered, had it not been for Jason.

I can echo all the sentiments that have been previously stated. Having a hard time with this one. It was a tough ride home with his loss on my mind. I enjoyed many rides with Jason, but especially enjoyed the day that Scott and I had with him in Colorado. Very special memory. RIP my friend.

I really don't have a gift for language but here it goes anyway. My heart is broken for a person I have never met. There are a few names that come up in posts and you just can't help but say to yourself I look forward to meeting them at an event. Unfortunately that will never happen and it's with a heavy heart I say that. The kindness that I remember the most was him riding a "new" bike to Wheaton in shell we say impressive time in an absolute down pour. As well as countless funny remarks on the forum. Thoughts and prayers to his family and friends.

Jason will be missed by all. I suggest that all of you STOP CRYING! Jason would NOT WANT THAT! Instead, raise a shot of your favorite beverage and toast a truly great person.
