After riding the Goldwing two up all last weekend, it's fun to get on the FJR again. The Wing is pretty quick for the size. But evidently I forgot what it feels like to hammer the throttle at 80 mph on the FJR. That engine is just a beast, and it made me appreciate the FJR all over again. I've tried to get my wife to buy into that theory with a mistress and how I'll appreciate her more after riding the other one. I'm told I'm limited to motorcycles.
So disappointing the way some women think....

You're braver than I. I don't trust any of those bass turds so I replaced the switch myself. I'd rather have no "recall complete" record than more broken and dented shit on my bike.
I know. It's why I waited so long. But was worried the brake switch would stop the cruise from working someday, and I certainly didn't trust myself to do it. Quick test afterwards with cruise set successfully at 83 mph. (That's for you Wheaton!)
They butchered my 2013 when they did that recall. Stripped a screw, left off pop pins and broke a tab on the side panel.

No way I would let a dealer do the transmission recall and keep a bike.
The dealer who did my recall work my 17 ES, including the tranny, did a good job. Not one problem. A shout out to Alsport near Spokane Washington.

Forums tend to highlight problems and good dealers go unrecognized.

Got on the FJR yesterday. As I settled onto the seat with feet on the pegs, I could feel the right knee tighten up a bit. Not too bad. Still have a little ways to go, but we're getting there.

Washed it? Jesus washed it twice. Are you saying Jesus didn't do a good job?

When it comes to washing bikes in that fashion, Jesus maybe should stick to carpentry.
Outside of a blessing of the bikes, I hope to keep the guy turning water into wine away from my wash bucket.

Rode to my cardiologist appointment. Leaving school at noon on the bike to go to a doc visit just seems a little odd.

Pretty good report.

The bike ran so good at speeds that would induce heart palpitations in Harley riders.

On the rails again...amazing the difference a new front tire makes. No more wrestling to hold a line in the corners. After 15 years I opted not to install a pilot road on the front only because of the terrible wear patterns I've experienced that do affect handling. Went with the new Conti RA4 single compound...so far so good and considerably less expensive that the PR6. Not concerned about longevity, handling trumps that.
