Day ride photos

11/11/2018...at the Clayton, GA Wafflehouse...it was COLD that day.

11/23/2018...Black Friday at the Gap, before we headed north and east on the new section of Foothills Parkway. Jason set up this ride...perfect day for a ride. First time riding with Lumberg.
Image

Photos sent to me, telling me that I screwed up by not being there. I also secretly want to think that Jason just missed me, and that's why he and the others send me the photos telling me I'm number 1...or showing what a good time they were having without me. haha.

I believe this is EOM.

You've seen these before...but they were sent to me first. Fockers!
I'm gonna post them so sue me. On the grand tour somewhere in Montana, saying "screw you" to wheaton. haha

Really sad news. Each time he saw you he greeted you like his best friend. He will be missed by all that knew him. I'm not sure that EOM will be the same for me without his smiling face.

Our world changed the day that jwilly did not make it home.

I'm sorry, I'm oversharing I know...but I was going through the jwilly getting the bike saga, which is described in posts above.
After he is home, after it all happened, he makes this post:
jwilly wrote: Sun May 12, 2019 8:53 pm OK enough with all this hero BS.. Wheatie when are we going riding? :D

Couple thoughts on this topic. The two things that came from all of this was a happy ending and a closer friendship. Mark and I have been friends for 10+ years, in the past 6 weeks or so since our last ride together we have been in touch with each other on almost a daily basis. Mark is the ultimate smart ass and witty little fuker but he is a great guy and I'm glad to have him as a friend. I look forward to our next ride together, keep healing up brother. Oh and fix the cruise control on that damn bike!
Having this post and the words he said are special to me...I will hold them close as long as I live.

However, these same words he could apply to anybody else that he knew in the FJR world. Truth.

I am still struggling with this, so don't mistake my lack of contribution of memories as a lack of emotion. Mark, you cannot over contribute here. I have created a JWilly folder for all the photos that I have with Jason. I will share all of them. I am honored to have been his friend and riding companion.

Bob, I understand. You had a lot of interaction with Jason. Every EOM there's a picture of you two.

I never met him and I’m struggling with it. I’ve been in a funk since I read this on Sunday. One thing I’m in awe of is how many people’s lives he touched. What a legacy. That’s a gift. A true gift. When people are thankful for the opportunity to be part of your life, that’s pretty special. What a special, special human being. I’m sad I’ll have to wait to meet him.

Those of you who were his friends were really lucky and I hope you are able to celebrate that, and celebrate the laughs and great times together. What a gift he gave you all.

Good morning everyone. I'm sitting here working through my Friday morning; this song came up in rotation and it struck me - if Jason had an entrance theme song, this has to be in the running...

My wife asked me why I speak so softly around the house. I said that I was worried that someone was listening. She laughed, I laughed, Alexa laughed.

And this one - it might already be there - but it's getting bumped into the "JWilly" mix!

I think Jason proposed to a lot of people that night... and not just the ladies. ;)
Ahhh...good times :manlove:
Was that the year of the orange creamsickle moonshine? I believe Jason's loyal lieutenant, Lumberg, was acting as Jason's spotter that evening.
Yep. That was one funny, FUNNY evening.

The way I look at it, your "task" made the whole "Mission: Impossible" idea seem like child's play, yet in the face of adversity, you persevered and performed your duties admirably.

For the most part.
