They didn't even realized you passed them. They were all fiddling with their screwed up Ride Command!

So, the other day during my battery adventure, I ran the bike and let it warm up and then shut it down to check on something, I forget what, but as I thought about it later I didn't remember hearing the fans come on.
I thought maybe during my fiddling with the battery I might have popped a fuse so I decided to check it out.
Dug out the multi meter and tested all the fuses and everything thing looked good. Started her up again and let her warm up. Fans came on at 7 bars but I still didn't hear them. Guess I need to increase the volume on my hearing aids.
Then adjusted the tire pressures. :D

Did something I don't often do, signed up for a group motorcycle ride in September. Our neighbor, who has a special needs son we love dearly, sent me a link about a charity ride that benefits an equine therapy organization in our area. My immediate thought went to Mrs. HMFIC and that this is something that would be near and dear to her, so I emailed it over to Dianne to see what she thought. She was into it so I put it in my calendar to keep it in mind.

Oddly enough, the phone at my desk is one of 4 phones in the shop set up to answer outside calls and I often do that in the mornings before the front office staff arrive. When that phone rings I always look at the caller ID and if it's going to be for me, I just answer it and cut out the front office. Phone rings and the caller ID displays, and I shit you not, "Annette Reeves"! I can take a hint and feel the universe is telling me perhaps we should do the ride. I just signed up.

This is the kind of group ride to get excited about. Also probably much safer than some of them.

Fueled and packed the FJR for a 630am departure for a work trip to the Western Regional Office, a 6 hr. day of meetings and greetings. A 380mile day tomorrow before it's over.

And of course, heavy rain called for on the way home along the PA Turnpike. Only 90 and humid, a drop from today's 98 and humid.

Too bad you didn't change it yourself a few days ago when the drain plug was easily accessible while it was laying on its side!
Or maybe the new oil and filter was in the left saddlebag!!

Between yesterday and today, I rode my FJR about 350 KM all around Quebec City. The weather has been absolutely perfect for riding, as evident by the hundreds of bikes ofall kinds out and about. It was very nice to just leave the windshield down and enjoy the cool, dry breeze.

I aired up the tires with my new air pump gizmo and then rode BB to Sturgis to visit Scott at the REVZILLA tent on Lazelle St. This is the 85th Sturgis Rally, and it is getting busy early. Only one death so far, but plenty of accidents. This will likely be my last sojourn out amongst the masses until a week from Sunday.

From what I gleaned from the locals last June in Spearfish most locals can't wait till it's over.

Went to the 75th, and 80th. Always went the week prior and was able to ride without crowds, plus the vendors were already set up. Crowds arrived as we left.

We've had "Early Arrivers" since early last week. It is busy. SWMBO has opted for " hunker down" this year instead of "Flee to the Big Horns" in the travel trailer as in years past.

Quiet so far this morning. One dead on Thursday, 70 year old guy, on Harley, off the road for no apparent reason, no helmet, dead at the scene.
