LOL

I did pull up on a patched vest guy on a new Gold Wing. He was eager to show me how fast his bike was at the few stop lights I had to go through. I think he wanted a challenge but he didn't get one. Go be an asshat somewhere else, I'm not falling for your tricks. I did laugh out loud when he would leave stoplights running it as hard as it would go. It's a fast bike, but it's still a fat pig.

It's hard to read this situation for me. On the one hand, maybe they just want to play a bit and then muse about how fast motorcycles are in general. But OTOH, maybe they really think they are faster. I know this much - on the rare occasion a sport bike (even a 600 cc) pulls up next to me and blips it, all I do is wave twice. Once at the red light to say "hi", and the other as soon as the light turns green.

Now - years ago, after resisting for 3 or 4 lights, I did put a Harley Street Glide in his place. He must have spent thousand of dollars on "upgrades" that he was told would keep up with the rice burners. I assure you, it did not.

New T-Rex frame sliders today. Had to wait a while until they replenished stock, but no harm, no foul.

That’s completes the farkling of the 2021.

Just in time to head to the mountains this week. 👍

300 miles in Deal's Gap today holding up Lumberg. The best day road ride I've had in quite a while.

I scorched those POS Bridgestones on the dragon quite nicely. Also had a good time playing with a Porche GT3 on the skyway at "go to jail speeds" for about 40 curves.

Awesome day!!

Okay, now I'm officially jealous! Man, I love that road! Glad you had fun and had a great wingman with you.

That same wingman will also, at the drop of a hat, break wind for a thousand miles in front of you. Then casually do it again the next day...and STILL get lit up by OK's finest for "impeding traffic" in the left lane. Lol.

Not mine... put together buddy's '16 with missing parts, new oil pump chain and sprocket, clutch all reinstalled and water pump. Did valve check, 1 intakes at minimum, the rest mostly at nominal. Had another job, so she'll get buttoned up later........

Finally washed it from my trip with BkerChuck to The Gay Bar in Gay, Michigan. Yuck. Ready to get a little dirty tomorrow. A second wash is needed to complete the disinfection.

Rode it 480 miles, West Virginia....again :) Went by myself, so left just after 5 this morning. Was enjoying beautiful WV roads by 7:30.

I don't know who's in charge of road paving in WV but whoever it is, is owed a beer by me. There is a LOT of brand new pavement in WV right now. They repaved a mountain pass and cleaned the shoulders out and swept it too. It looked like a racetrack. Not so much as a pebble on it. No seams, no bumps, just smooth as glass and clean as a whistle.

WV, I'll be back shortly ;)

33W from the VA/WV line (the line is at the peak of the mountain), all the way out to Seneca Rocks. I also took 219W from below Elkins and that was excellent as well. I made a loop, 33W to Elkins, then south on 250, to 219W(S) to Marlinton. Looped around there, up 92N to Monterey and I don't think I ran on a bad road. But that pavement on 33W, it probably the best paved road I've ever ridden on. I road it down, I should have turned around and run it back up, but it was early in the morning and I wasn't sure exactly how far I was traveling. Trust me, I'm going back. I have some pictures of the road, plus I ran a 360 camera so I'll gather up some pictures and review some videos to make sure I'm accurate.

33 between Harrisonburg, VA and Brandywine, WV. Just know that the VA side of the mountain is a hot mess of shitty pavement.

Seneca Rocks is only 3 hours away from home. I'll have to take a run down there and check out 33. Thanks for the tip Festus! :)

It's funny, but to most of the population, going 3 hours to check out the surface of new pavement would be considered idiotic, and yet, we all find it perfectly acceptable, if not desirable.

I rode to work yesterday and noticed a weird new vibration that I could feel in the seat and the rear of the frame if I put my hand on it. I haven't had a chance to look the bike over yet. Any common causes for something like this?
