I have a mojolever but have been disappointed in its ability to roll the bead over the rim.
The other end uses a NoMar tip which is excellent at removing the tire.
Almost exclusively use NoMar spoon/levers to mount.

I never got a recall letter on the second ECU flash for my 2017ES. I was away snow-birding in the SW for two months recently and my mail was messed up, mostly my fault, so I didn't get a letter. Anyway today I got around to finding the USA Yamaha recall web site to find my FJR was recalled. Interesting thing is the NHTSA web site didn't show an open recall. Weird. My FJR runs fine so I will get to it later.
I call the shop that did the tranny recall to confirm the ECU needs reflashing. They said it did. I also inquired about the cost to check the valves. The response was 9.5 hours of shop time at $138 per hour. With sales tax it comes to $1427.68, before the cost of engine coolant and what ever other parts they find in need of replacement. I guess will be doing this work myself until I sell the beast.

Removed, cleaned, greased, reinstall the relay arm. First time done on this bike with 31,000 and all was good. Also I was able to get all the center stand and relay arm bolts out without cutting.
Also installed a new Ohlins YA-707.

One should be able to get a valve check done in about 4 hours, depending on what other work you're getting done at the time.... stay away from them fontanaman. Here's a recent post from a Canajan in another sandbox...... IMHO reasonable for dealer service.

Not a bad price. Wonder if that is "standard" or if it is based upon actual hours. Valve check doesn't take long if there are no adjustments but as soon as you need to make changes, it adds at least 50% to the time. At 42,000 km, it seems likely that no adjustments were needed. I can do a check in less than 5.25 hours if I put my mind to it. Geez. Usually still takes me all weekend or two weeks depending on interruptions and me finding something shiny to play with.

Me too in 5.25 hr or less - if I don't encounter any issues and don't need to replace any shims. We will assume I don't have problems with the valve cover gasket, that I don't drop a bolt somewhere, have problems with the coolant pipe or lose/break push-pins. Not to mention a coolant leak... Very little extra time needed for plugs or coolant because these have to come out anyway (just time to get stuff from shop stores and open packages).
Brake/clutch fluid flush and air filter add at least an hour. Still think that time is more than fair - certainly wouldn't argue with them about it.

To be clear, I can do a check in that amount of time, not an adjustment. Took it motorcycle shopping. Didn't find anything. Still, weather was pleasant, so I had a nice ride, burned half a tank of gas running around the Dallas area.

I didn't time myself and stopped for a long lunch and visit friends. Took the '13 for a leisurely ride then an extended high speed run down a couple interstates. About 3 hrs in all. It's the first time it's been run since autumn.

Took me about 7 hours but probably 3 hours of that was time lost due to operater errors. Over 90 minutes wasted on cutting the 2 center stand bolts with a trip to the hardware store for new Sawzall blades.
